      I know we are supposed to be doing “big ideas” thinking, but I don’t think we can ignore the little pieces. When I think about growth and residential life, I think of the conversations I have with students and over hear students having about residential life. If we don’t address the little pieces like inadequate lighting in parking lots and not having security people. One of the tentacles contributing to retention and growth has to be addressing the little pieces that cause students to leave.

      Don’t sell these short… Both of these have to do with campus safety, and if students don’t feel safe on campus, it’s a “big idea” sort of issue to address…
